Cs: Letní slunce září nad Prahou, a v muzeu přírodovědy je rušno.
En: The summer sun shines over Prahou, and the Natural History Museum is bustling.
Cs: Turisté se procházejí mezi expozicemi a obdivují prehistorické fosilie.
En: Tourists stroll among the exhibits, admiring the prehistoric fossils.
Cs: V jednom z koutů muzea stojí Jarek, nadšený amatérský paleontolog, s nadějí ve tváři.
En: In one corner of the museum stands Jarek, an enthusiastic amateur paleontologist, with hope on his face.
Cs: Vedle něj Lenka, jeho skeptická kamarádka, která se trochu škodolibě usmívá.
En: Beside him is Lenka, his skeptical friend, who is smirking somewhat mischievously.
Cs: "Dnes je ten den, Lenko," říká Jarek.
En: "Today is the day, Lenko," says Jarek.
Cs: "Dnes najdeme to záhadné dinosaurí vejce."
En: "Today we will find that mysterious dinosaur egg."
Cs: "Pořád si myslíš, že existuje?" odpovídá Lenka s pochybností.
En: "You still think it exists?" replies Lenka doubtfully.
Cs: "To je jen vtip, co si personál dělá navzájem."
En: "It's just a joke that the staff play on each other."
Cs: Jarek se nenechává odradit.
En: Jarek is not discouraged.
Cs: Požádal o pomoc starého, trochu podivínského údržbáře muzea, kterého potkal poblíž výstavy zkamenělin.
En: He asked for help from an old, slightly eccentric museum maintenance man, whom he met near the fossil exhibition.
Cs: Údržbář promluvil tajemně: "Půjdete dozadu, za uzavřené dveře.
En: The maintenance man spoke mysteriously: "Go to the back, behind the closed doors.
Cs: Ale pozor na strážné!"
En: But beware of the guards!"
Cs: Lenka pokrčí rameny.
En: Lenka shrugs.
Cs: "Dobře, pojďme na to.
En: "Fine, let's do it.
Cs: Aspoň když nic nenajdeme, dám ti za pravdu a můžeme se tomu zasmát."
En: At least if we find nothing, I'll admit you were right, and we can laugh about it."
Cs: Oba se proplíží kolem strážných, míjí staré výstavy a tajemné sochy.
En: The two sneak past the guards, passing old exhibitions and mysterious statues.
Cs: Jarek drží mapku, kterou si tajně pořídil od údržbáře.
En: Jarek holds a map that he secretly obtained from the maintenance man.
Cs: Chodby jsou tiché, ozvěna jejich kroků se odráží od kamenných stěn.
En: The hallways are silent, and the echo of their steps bounces off the stone walls.
Cs: Vzduch je chladný a voní po starožitnostech.
En: The air is cool and smells of antiques.
Cs: Po chvíli dojdou k malé chodbě.
En: After a while, they reach a small corridor.
Cs: Vypadá slibně.
En: It looks promising.
Cs: Jarek natáhne ruku ke dveřím a pomaličku je otevře.
En: Jarek reaches out to the door and slowly opens it.
Cs: Co najdou, je starý sklad. Plný rozbitých figurín a zaprášených částí starých expozic.
En: What they find is an old storeroom, full of broken mannequins and dusty parts of old exhibits.
Cs: "Tohle je naše dinosaurí vejce?" směje se Lenka, když ukazuje na falešné vejce, které je zjevně vtipným artefaktem.
En: "Is this our dinosaur egg?" Lenka laughs, pointing at a fake egg, which is clearly a humorous artifact.
Cs: V rohu místnosti leží, jako připomínka, že dobrý žert může trvat pořádně dlouho.
En: In the corner of the room, it lies as a reminder that a good joke can last a very long time.
