When Problems Keep Popping Up

Sometimes it feels like we spend all our time pulling weeds.

But despite this, Isaiah declares, “You shall go out in joy…” — from Isaiah 55:12.

The cypress trees and the myrtle bushes promised in the text take a long time to grow.

The thorns and the briars, though, seem to spring up every day.

But when we remember what we’re growing, we begin to see the garden instead of the weeds.

Then the work of tending the garden becomes a joy.
