Touring Puente’s Haunted Victorian | California News
Description
Step into history—and a little horror—at Preservation Sacramento’s 50th annual historic home tour this September, where you’ll tour the very house once owned by serial killer Dorothea Puente. Once her grim boarding house where she drugged and buried victims for their Social Security checks, it’s now a loving family home—restored and quietly integrated into the neighborhood. The tour also spotlights the first mural by the Royal Chicano Air Force and features four Queen Anne Victorians and two rarely-seen commercial buildings. Tickets are $30 for members, $40 for non-members. Don’t miss this chance to see stunning architecture and a haunting slice of local history.
