Episode Details

This week on VTV, Kev and Trev sit down with the one and only Alec Mapa — comedian, actor, Broadway veteran, and longtime queer icon who has been making audiences laugh for over two decades.

From stealing scenes on Ugly Betty as the unforgettable Suzuki St. Pierre to appearances on Desperate Housewives, Friends, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and his acclaimed stand-up specials, Alec has built a career out of being fearless, hilarious, and unapologetically himself.

In this candid and wildly entertaining conversation, Alec opens up about fatherhood, aging in Hollywood, the changing world of queer representation, and his very honest thoughts on Drag Race and today’s LGBTQ+ culture. The conversation gets deeply personal as he reflects on his weight loss journey, body image, and some of the more vulnerable experiences that have shaped his life both on and off the stage.

Equal parts chaotic, heartfelt, and laugh-out-loud funny, this episode is classic Alec Mapa: brutally honest, deeply human, and absolutely unforgettable.
