Cs: Jasné paprsky letního slunce se proplétaly skrze husté listí nade jejich hlavami.
En: The clear rays of the summer sun wove through the dense foliage above their heads.
Cs: Jiří a Lída, dva nerozluční přátelé, stáli na okraji hustého lesa blízko malé české vesničky.
En: Jiří and Lída, two inseparable friends, stood at the edge of a thick forest near a small Czech village.
Cs: Před nimi se táhly stopky starých stezek, skryté pod kobercem kapradin a divokých růží.
En: In front of them stretched the traces of old paths, hidden under a carpet of ferns and wild roses.
Cs: Jiří, kluk se srdcem naplněným touhou po dobrodružství, pevně držel mapu, kterou sám zakreslil podle pověstí slyšených od starousedlíků.
