A new talking point has been unveiled: from Mike Huckabee to Benjamin Netanyahu, the new excitement is how Jews, Israel, and Hebrew-law founded the United States, not Greek and Roman philosophy. The Encyclopedia Judaica, however, informs us otherwise, stating that American Jews primarily supported the Crown for economic reasons. Those supporting the colonies did so for the same reason, to sell provisions and weapons to the troops. They also sold the same to the British. When the British blockaded ports, the Jews became pirates. Jews also served the slave industry significantly, at least because they ran much of the shipping vessels. Jews did not build America, they exploited it for profit via an instinctual greed.
