In honour of our 1000th episode we are republishing our first episodes of The Hannibal podcast on TV Podcast Industries where Irene and John discussed season 3 of the exceptionally good horror show Hannibal.

Hannibal Season 3 Episode 1 Antipasto Synopsis

Having escaped the battle with Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) and the devastating turmoil of the bloodbath at his home, Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), now free of his convenient former human suit, establishes a new life for himself in Italy with his former psychiatrist Doctor Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson). After assuming the identity of the museum curator Dr. Roman Fell and his wife, they begin to settle down in to the rhythm of fine dining, high society events and lectures on Dante until circumstances go awry, when a former student of Dr. Fell’s, Anthony Dimmond (Tom Wisdom), visits and finds that all is not as it seems. In flashback the torture of Abel Gideon (Eddie Izzard) by Hannibal continues along with their philosophical debate on cannibalism over a very special dinner.
