#1 Soorah Al-Mumtahanah/ Aayat 1 - 2 / Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari
Episode 76
Published 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Description
In this opening lesson of our study on Surah Al-Mumtahanah, Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari explores the first two verses, which establish clear boundaries for the believer regarding loyalty and alliance.
We dive into the historical context of these noble Ayat, specifically the story of Hatib bin Abi Balta'ah and his "Secret Letter" to the Quraysh. This lesson serves as a profound reminder that true Iman necessitates allying with those who establish faith and disavowing those who show enmity toward it.
In this lecture, we cover:
The story of Hatib bin Abi Balta’ah and the conquest of Makkah.
The severe prohibition of taking the enemies of Allah as allies.
Why showing affection to disbelievers can lead to a compromise in faith.
The difference between political interest and religious allegiance.
A breakdown of the enmity shown by the enemies of Islam across different eras.
