The Night the Waitress Found the Wrong Name on the Reservation Book at the Rusty Spoon Diner
Description
It's autumn of 2008 in the small town of Iron Gap, Pennsylvania. You're working the late shift at the Rusty Spoon Diner when a man in a tan coat walks in, sits in booth seven, and orders black coffee and apple pie. But the reservation book — the one nobody ever uses — has his name written in it, from three nights ago. And then again from six months ago. And then from a Tuesday in 1974. The handwriting is yours, but you've never seen this man before in your life. He doesn't eat the pie. He doesn't leave a tip. He just sits there until the diner closes, and then he walks out into the fog. And when you look down at the book, his name is already there again — for tomorrow night. A slow-burn atmospheric episode about routine, memory, and the places that remember things we've forgotten.
