What happens when your body changes, but your brain hasn’t caught up yet?

A listener wrote in after skin removal surgery and said, “I feel like I’ve been teleported into someone else’s body.” Honestly, I don’t think there’s a better way to describe it.

In this episode, I’m talking about the messy middle of body change: healing, swelling, cravings, food noise, new clothes, scale spirals, and that uncomfortable feeling of not quite feeling like yourself yet.

We’ll talk about why your body isn’t betraying you, why healing can feel so unsettling, and how to meet yourself with less panic and more curiosity.
