Description
Sunday Bible Study returns to the Book of Revelation as we continue our verse-by-verse study through Revelation 17 and examine one of the most debated passages in biblical prophecy: Mystery Babylon.
After witnessing the completion of God's judgment in Revelation 16, the focus now shifts to the spiritual system behind the world's rebellion against God. In this study, we examine the identity of the woman riding the scarlet beast, the symbolism of the seven heads and ten horns, the significance of the seven hills, and the relationship between Babylon, world religion, and the coming Antichrist.
The discussion also looks at Babylon's historical roots, the influence of false religion throughout history, the persecution of believers, and why Revelation 17 and 18 separate the religious and political aspects of Babylon's final judgment. Throughout the study, Scripture is compared with Scripture as we seek to understand Bible prophecy within its biblical context.
