Description
Luna reaches for the infant in the nursery as the lullaby swells and the room darkens into a single candle flame. She finds herself backstage at the theater, the ghost-light burning beside her, but something is different — the air smells of smoke, and the red curtain is singed. A note pinned to the corkboard reads 'You held the child. Now the child holds you.' Luna realizes she is no longer alone in her own body. The doppelgänger's voice whispers from her own throat, and the theater begins to change, shifting between the nursery memory and a new version of the stage where the audience is filled with silent figures. Clara's ghost appears in the wings, holding the key from the glass case, and tells Luna the only way to separate herself from the child is to find the original door — the one she first entered twenty-six years ago. The episode ends with Luna standing before the theater's front doors, which now lead to a hallway of photographs from her mother's childhood, and a child's laughter echoes from every frame.
