Description
December 2019. A dead-end road in Barrow County, Maine. Luna's car dies at the edge of Dead Man's Slough, a stretch of frozen marsh where the only light comes from a single gas station at the far end. She walks toward it through the snow, past a row of burned-out houses, past a truck with the engine still running and no one inside. The station attendant tells her about the woman who comes every night to see the light—a light that shows her the people she lost. But the light isn't hers. It's something else.
