Episode Details

Congressman Nick LaLota expresses his deep concerns regarding the emergence of sanctuary city policies in Long Island’s Suffolk County, arguing that these measures compromise public safety by blocking cooperation between local and federal law enforcement. To combat this shift, the Congressman details his strategy of using the "power of the purse" to withhold federal discretionary funding from municipalities that refuse to assist in the apprehension of criminal aliens. He frames the current border situation as a significant national security threat, suggesting that lenient federal and state immigration policies have allowed potential adversaries to enter the country.
