Episode Details

We had the chance to sit down with Ross Cooper at Dusty Vaquero Days for a conversation about his roots in rodeo, how those experiences shaped his approach to music, and the storytelling that continues to drive his songwriting today. We also talked about the making of his live album recorded at Hotel Turkey, capturing the raw energy and authenticity of his sound in a place that carries its own history and character.

Ross shared where he draws inspiration for his writing, from life on the road to the people and places that shape his perspective, along with his definition of success both personally and as an artist. It was a thoughtful, grounded conversation with a true storyteller who continues to carve out his own lane in Western and Americana music.
