Police Chief Amy Bonney has announced her intent to retire, effective July 17, 2026, following nearly three decades of dedicated service to the City of Prescott and its residents. Chief Bonney’s career with the Prescott Police Department began in the Explorer Program and advanced through the ranks to Chief of Police, where she has led with a strong focus on public safety, employee wellness, and community trust. During her tenure, Chief Bonney received numerous honors, including Sworn Officer of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, the Community Service Award, the Medal of Valor, and recognition as the 2023 Arizona Association...
