Welcome back to Vile And Horrendous. The dog piss in the elevator is back, just to prove the first episode of this show wasn't a fluke. I get into the psychology of an owner who lets this happen, repeatedly, in a building where everyone owns their unit. I also revisit an old grudge against a passive-aggressive elevator sign from my New York days, and find out the car I just bought has a fire recall on it. The universe is clearly trying to tell me something.
For "You're Wrong," I take on "maxxing," the trend of optimizing literally everything, from your looks to your job to, somehow, your lobster bake. I make the case for why kids should be allowed to be losers again, and why quitting is the one place I fully support going big.
Then it's What A World, including an update on the Lego theft scandal a lot of you have been emailing me about, and a surprise Flight Log story about an Air Canada pilot who flew commercial planes for 16 years without the right license.
