The New York Rangers had themselves an extremely busy weekend to kick off the offseason, and have reignited our hopes in potentially reaching the playoffs, and at the very least improving the result from last season. The draft started out with the selection of Alberts Smits, and a huge trade involving two first round picks for Pavel Dorofeyev, an elite scoring winger from Vegas. Then Drury came out with a flurry of moves to open up July 1st free agency, completely overhauling the defense as well as depth on the forward roster, plus a backup goalie. Is it enough to keep up with a steadily improving Metropolitan Division?
