We talk with Kelcie Mosely-Morris, who covers reproductive rights for Stateline.
We discuss how the administration has defunded the main efforts to prevent teen pregnancies through HHS. Efforts appear to have been successful, with the number of teen pregnancies down from previous years. The substitution strategy proposed consists of stressing waiting until marriage, and referrals to "crisis pregnancy centers" which are anti-abortion tools.
Part 2:
We talk with Ira Shapiro, who has co-edited a book which examines the effects of Trump's "big beautiful bill". This extreme legislation is hurting many people, who now realize that they did not vote for this.
