Born in Belgium in 1938, Dr. Krischer and his family survived the Holocaust before immigrating to the United States in 1946. By just 16 years old, he was accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he completed his undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral studies in physics. His remarkable career spans service as a U.S. Army officer, work as a scientist and engineer, and a tenure as a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he pioneered advancements in nanotechnology. He later transitioned into medicine, practicing as a physician in Arizona until retirement.
