Description
The head of Google in the UK, Kate Alessi has told City AM she was disappointed by the government’s decision to include YouTube in the under-16s social media ban and praised Labour’s AI policies so far this parliament. The remarks come as Google today releases a new in-depth report into the impact of AI on the UK economy, and how the US tech giant is empowering businesses of all sizes.
Meanwhile Andy Burnham has set out his economic vision, pledging more state control of utilities, a massive council housebuilding programme and promised to move more government functions to the North of England.
Plus: as an ESG-reporting firm goes bust, we ask the question: is this the end for environmentalism in business?
