  • Erias Lukwago & Martha Karau & Tabz
  • Nyakisharara Airport: the biggest, newest scam of the year, meanwhile Kabalega airport is not yet done… Prime minister instructed works ministry to make sure it’s launched by DECMEBER 2026
  • Health workers have raised concerns over what they described as rising cases of new HIV infections in Gulu City @Gulu_CityUG. In the past three months, spanning between January and March this year, Nurse Florence Atim, the area HIV Focal Person, disclosed that 480 new cases were registered. This has prompted a call for scaled-up HIV prevention measures, including the use of oral PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), condoms and newly introduced injectable PrEP, which is safe and effective in preventing HIV among negative individuals.
  • Uganda's Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba says he's now been authorised by his father, President Yoweri Museveni, to shut down @DailyMonitor and @ntvuganda over claims that they have over time mocked the family's 40-year. He's also threatened to have his political outfit,  Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), forcefully take over as Leader of Opposition in Parliament (LoP), where his father's political party, National Resistance Movement (NRM), commands the majority. He has further threatened to arrest current  LoP Joel Ssenyonyi and former MP Ssemujju Nganda for criticising his modus operandi when he boasted over the kidnap and torture of former Kampala mayor Erias Lukwago.
  • Two journalists brutalised, arrested by police while investigating neglect of duty in Mitooma. The duo had traveled to Kashenshero Town Council police station to verify a viral TikTok video claiming the station is frequently left abandoned. After interviewing local residents about the security situation, the journalists contacted the Town Council chairperson, Mr Van Allan, for comment. He directed them to his residence. However, their investigation was violently interrupted. "We were forced to eat mandazi (fried bread) while they blocked our noses," Twinamatsiko added. The journalists were subsequently transferred to the Mitooma Central Police Station and hauled before the District Police Commander. In a bizarre legal twist, they were charged under the Computer Misuse Act—a law that was declared null and void by the Constitutional Court in March 2026.
  • THE WORLD’S LONELINESS ECONOMY IS BOOMING: China’s “companionship economy” is now worth billions. People are paying strangers to listen to them, chat with them, text them, eat meals with them and basically pretend to be friends.
