Lecturer Warns Of Long-Term Cognitive Impact of AI On Students
Published 1 month, 1 week ago
Description
Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work, learn and communicate.
But is it also changing the way we think? A lecturer from County Clare is raising concerns that increasing reliance on AI could have long-term consequences for students' critical thinking and learning.
Michael Griffin has taught English at the University of Limerick for 23 years, and while he sees the benefits of AI, he believes it's important we don't lose the ability to think for ourselves.
Michael joined Alan Morrissey earlier to discuss further.
