Nationals Survive Late Drama for Win
Description
The Nationals pulled off a heart-stopping four-to-three win over the Orioles in extra innings, proving their grit when it mattered most. Starter Foster Griffin dominated for seven innings, but the bullpen stumbled, letting Baltimore tie it in the eighth. With the game on the line in the tenth, CJ Abrams made a game-saving defensive play, snagging a ground ball and firing to home for the out with the winning run at third. After loading the bases in the bottom of the tenth, they sealed the win with the final out, snapping a four-game skid and showing they can rise to the occasion when it’s toughest.
