Living Sacrifice: What Does God Really Want?
Description
Not every sacrifice in the Bible was accepted. Terry Preston walks through three that were rejected — Cain's bloodless offering, Saul's disobedient "sacrifice" of the Amalekites' plunder, and Ananias and Sapphira's half-truth — and three that were accepted: Abraham on Mount Moriah, David's altar bought at full price ("I will not offer to the Lord that which costs me nothing"), and Solomon's Temple. The twist: all three accepted sacrifices happened on the very same mountain.
From there, Preston moves to Romans 12 and the sacrifice God actually asks of us now — not an animal on an altar, but a living sacrifice that can, unlike a dead one, crawl right back off. It's a message about what real worship costs, and why God has never wanted ritual as a substitute for a surrendered heart.
