Story Transcript:

En: Ljubljana was now just a shadow of the city it once was.

Sl: Počasi je življenje spet izbralo svojo pot skozi razpokane ulice, krto vile in podrtine, kjer so sončni žarki le s težavo prebili zavese prahu in rastlinja.
En: Slowly, life was finding its way back through the cracked streets, deserted villas, and ruins, where sun rays struggled to penetrate the curtains of dust and vegetation.

En: The market in the city center was one of the few places where people still gathered, driven there only by the need for survival, to seek food and medicine.

En: Miha cautiously approached the largest stall at the market.

En: Once an engineer, now a resourceful survivor, he was seeking supplies for his group.

Sl: Potreboval je hrano in zdravila.
En: He needed food and medicine.

En: He could still hear the soothing voice of Sara, who, as a former nurse, took care of everyone in the group.

Sl: "Miha, naredi, kar bo potrebno," mu je rekla pred odhodom.
En: "Miha, do what needs to be done," she told him before he left.

En: It was important not to take any risks.

En: Behind the stall stood Gorazd, a tradesman known for being grumpy and inaccessible.

Sl: Za njega so govorili, da ima mehko srce, čeprav mu tega še ni nihče dokazal.
En: It was said he had a soft heart, though no one had yet proven it.

Sl: Miha je bil pripravljen preizkusiti srečo.
En: Miha was ready to try his luck.

Sl: "Gorazd, potrebujeva nekaj zalog.
En: "Gorazd, we need some supplies. I have these batteries," he said, placing the precious battery packs on the table, which he had saved for times of need.

Sl: Gorazd je hladno pogledal baterije, nato Miho.
En: Gorazd coldly looked at the batteries, then at Miha.

En: "The batteries won’t last long," he said, "and there aren't many supplies either."

Sl: V njegovem glasu je bil videti pomešan skrb in nejevolja.
En: His voice carried a mix of concern and annoyance.

En: Before they could continue, the market echoed with cries and shouts.

Sl: Nova skupina je vdrla in poskušala presekati njun dogovor.
En: A new group burst in, trying to interrupt their deal.

En: Miha was caught in a tense situation.

Sl: Moral je izbrati.
En: He had to choose.

Sl: Bi vztrajal ali našel drug način?
En: Would he persist or find another way?
