Description
California Gov. Gavin Newsom is pushing for a federal tax on the ultra-wealthy, while at the same time opposing a similar proposal in California. Newsom is calling for an aggressive national tax on billionaires to address inequality and the impact of AI—but he opposes a similar California-only tax, arguing that wealth can easily move across state lines and that real reform must happen at the federal level.
