Concerns surrounding automated license plate reader (LPR) cameras continue to grow as questions about privacy, transparency, and government surveillance become increasingly controversial. Supporters argue the technology helps law enforcement solve crimes and recover stolen vehicles. Critics, however, question what information is being collected, how long it is stored, and who ultimately has access to that data. In this episode I review the issues surrounding this debate.
