Dem Senators call on USPS to drop new mail-in voting rule
Published 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Description
All 47 members of the Senate Democratic Caucus sent a letter to the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) demanding the immediate withdrawal of a proposed rule that would allow the agency to refuse delivery of mail-in ballots. The highly contested plan, spearheaded by Postmaster General David Steiner, targets states that refuse to hand over lists of voters who request absentee or mail-in ballots. Democrats strongly condemn the policy as an unconstitutional overreach designed to suppress votes ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
