Almost, but Not Quite — Mercury Refrains From Jupiter — Why This is So Important

Published 3 months, 1 week ago

Description

What happens when a promise of clarity arrives, only to pause at the threshold? That is the question at the heart of this week’s astrology. As Mercury approaches a conjunction with Jupiter in Cancer, it stations retrograde just before the meeting can complete — a technical configuration known as reformation. It is not a denial, but a redirection. Something you thought was ready to conclude may now ask for a deeper look, a second draft, a conversation with the past before the future can unfold.

“It's like a promise is made but not fulfilled. An expectation that doesn't materialize. A developing story that suddenly changes course or pivots and does an about-face — a bit like a Mercury retrograde itself, but when the Mercury retrograde is happening at the outset of a conjunction, then there's a shift — the need to revisit something that's unfinished business before moving forward with something else.”
