Ru: На берегу Ладожского озера вода плескалась тихими волнами.
En: On the shore of Ladozhskoye Ozero, the water lapped with quiet waves.
Ru: Дмитрий, Аня и Лев стояли, глядя на разбитую лодку.
En: Dmitry, Anya, and Lev stood, looking at the broken boat.
Ru: Недавно они отпраздновали ночь Ивана Купалы, и Дмитрий предложил отправиться в плавание.
En: They had recently celebrated Ivan Kupala night, and Dmitry had suggested going for a sail.
Ru: Его дед рассказывал, как на такой праздник можно найти цветок папоротника и загадать желание.
En: His grandfather had told him how, on such a holiday, one could find a fern flower and make a wish.
Ru: Но буря застала их врасплох, и теперь они оказались на маленьком острове посреди озера.
En: But the storm caught them off guard, and now they found themselves on a small island in the middle of the lake.
