When We’re On A Dead End Street

When we’ve taken a wrong turn, and reached a dead end, we have to turn around to get to where we want to go.

This is the insight found in Paul’s more famous quotes:

“For the wages of sin is death.” — from Romans 6:23

For Paul, sin is whatever is not rooted in love.

Our fear, anger, bitterness, and hate, our pride, greed, and lust are all dead-end streets that won’t get us to the lives we want individually or collectively.

We have to turn around.
