Former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison at the High Court in Edinburgh. The 61-year-old political figure pleaded guilty to embezzling £400,315.65 from the Scottish National Party (SNP) over a 12-year period spanning from 2010 to 2022.
