Ga: Bhí an ghrian ag taitneamh go geal thar an scoil phoiblí i mBaile Átha Cliath.
En: The sun was shining brightly over the public school in Baile Átha Cliath (Dublin).

Ga: Bhí na daltaí ag súil leis na laethanta saoire samhraidh, ach bhí rud éigin corr san aer.
En: The students were looking forward to the summer holidays, but there was something strange in the air.

Ga: Bhí an múinteoir stair is fearr leo, Fiona, imithe gan rabhadh.
En: Their favorite history teacher, Fiona, had disappeared without warning.
