For the first time since the 2011 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic do not have a first-round pick. That does not mean they do not have work to do on the first night of the NBA Draft. They need to maximize their opportunities in the Draft. And they need to take advantage of some key aspects on the trade market that expire when the NBA's calendar turns on July 1.

It will be difficult to get someone valuable at No. 46. That is exceedingly rare. But the Magic are not in a position to miss out on draft opportunities -- read: cheap contracts. And the Magic are leaning on adding something of value in the draft one way or the other.
