Pulse Nightclub mass shooting in Orlando, Florida. On June 12, 2016, a gunman opened fire inside Pulse, a nightclub that served as an important gathering place for Orlando’s LGBTQ+ community. The attack claimed the lives of 49 peopleand left dozens more injured, becoming one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history.
