Why I Scrapped My Retirement Plan After Three Days in Thailand - My Thai Origin Story
Description
What if a single sunset could change the entire direction of your life?
In this episode, I share the story I get asked about more than any other:
"Bill, how did you end up living in Thailand?"
The answer starts far away from Bangkok. It starts with a young version of me growing up in Virginia, a lifelong dream of retiring in the Florida Keys, and a discounted airline ticket that almost never happened.
For more than twenty years, I had my future mapped out. A boat. The water. A charter business. Life in Key West.
Then a friend named Nan convinced me to take a chance on Thailand.
Three days into the journey, sitting on a beach in Koh Samui watching the sun disappear into the Gulf of Thailand, everything changed.
In this episode, I share the moment that caused me to completely rewrite my vision of the future and ultimately led to:
...moving to Thailand, meeting my wife, launching Thailand Adventure Network, writing books about Thailand, starting the Thailand Adventure Secrets podcast, and creating expeditions that help others discover the magic of this country.
This isn't just a story about travel. It's a story about how one decision can create an entirely new path in life.
