Perhaps we should’ve seen this one coming. After Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called President Trump a liar for saying she begged to have a photo with him, Trump doubled down and fired back over the weekend. Trump suggested Meloni was trying to be friends with him to get her “numbers up.” Meloni responded on social media with a message for Trump, calling his constant, unprovoked attacks, senseless. Meloni is on a long and growing list of European and world leaders who have found themselves in a public war of words with our President.
