Tonight I was joined first by Helen in Brazil and Patrick in Wisconsin, and we plunged straight into a wide-ranging discussion on demons, possession, spirit attachments, reverse speech, spiritual healing and the ways trauma, addiction and fear may leave people vulnerable to darker influences. From my own family experiences to Helen’s work in hypnotherapy and spirit release, we explored how negative patterns can repeat, how alcohol and other destructive behaviours may fit into that picture, and why so many people instinctively dismiss the subject until they have lived through something they cannot explain.

In the second hour, Jerry Marzinsky joined us and brought his decades of experience working with psychiatric patients, especially people hearing tormenting voices. We talked about his view that these voices follow recognisable patterns, feed on fear and negativity, and are far more than random mental noise. Between Jerry’s clinical stories, Helen’s energetic perspective, Patrick’s Catholic angle and the always lively chat room, this became a full-on conversation about spiritual warfare, trauma, healing, power, prayer and the battle over the human mind.
