Qantas is developing new direct flight routes from Sydney to London that will travel over the Pacific Ocean, Alaska, the Arctic region, Greenland and Iceland approximately 20% of the time during northern winter. The airline is implementing advanced crew rest facilities designed by Airbus and working with scientists on fatigue risk management systems approved by CASA to help both crew and passengers combat jet lag on these ultra-long-haul flights.
