Compact loudspeakers are easy to love and surprisingly easy to get wrong once they meet real rooms, real mounts, and real client expectations. We unpack Monitor Audio’s newly launched Radius Series 4G and focus on what has actually changed for integrators who need predictable performance, clean aesthetics, and straightforward installation across both residential and commercial projects.
We walk through the refreshed lineup, Radius 1, Radius 3, and Radius On-Wall, and the accessory options that make specification simpler, from floor stands and desktop isolation pads to dedicated wall mounting choices. Then we get into the engineering updates that matter: the latest CCAM driver technology, RST3 cone geometry for better control and reduced resonance, and a brand-new CCAM Gold Dome tweeter that uses an external magnet motor structure, an approach more common in larger drivers and aimed at improved consistency and control.
We also look at the less glamorous but crucial upgrades, including improved cabinet construction with through-bolt driver bracing, a redesigned crossover network for better signal transfer, and the latest Hive 2 port technology to smooth airflow and reduce turbulence. If you care about compact speaker bass that stays tight and controlled, the Radius 3’s larger port is a key detail. We close with availability and UK pricing so you can quickly judge fit for upcoming installs. Subscribe, share this with a fellow integrator, and leave a review with the one feature you most want in a compact install speaker.
