Russia’s War Just Came Home to Moscow
Description
Ukraine struck the Moscow Oil Refinery again, sending smoke into the sky over the Russian capital and triggering a wave of reactions from ordinary Muscovites, military bloggers, and Kremlin propagandists.
The refinery sits only a short distance from the center of Russian power, making the attack symbolically important far beyond the physical damage itself. Residents described traffic jams, smoke, explosions, air-defense activity, and a growing sense that the war is no longer something happening somewhere else.
