For more than a year, Canada–U.S. trade relations have been marked by tension, tariff threats, and political rhetoric on both sides of the border. But in a new opinion piece in the Montreal Gazette, columnist Tasha Kheiriddin argues there are emerging signs of a possible way forward, if negotiators can shift tone, understand U.S. priorities, and focus on strategy over confrontation.
