Gilgo Beach serial killer sentenced to life

Rex Heuermann, a 62-year-old New York architect known as the Gilgo Beach serial killer, has been sentenced to three consecutive life terms without parole. The husband and father admitted to strangling eight women to death between 1993 and 2010. Suffolk County Court Judge Timothy Mazzei condemned Heuermann as a coward during sentencing.
