A peace deal between the United States and Iran has been signed unexpectedly a day early at the Palace of Versailles during a dinner between Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron. The 14-point agreement includes a 60-day countdown for both nations to negotiate a permanent deal, Iran's commitment to not develop nuclear weapons, reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, lifting of America's naval blockade, and an immediate end to hostilities including in Lebanon. An official signing ceremony is still scheduled to take place in Switzerland on Friday.
