Qantas unveils plane for non-stop Sydney to London flights
Published 5 days, 15 hours ago
Description
Qantas has unveiled its new Airbus A350-1000 ULR aircraft at the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France, which will operate Project Sunrise non-stop flights from Sydney to London starting October 2027, followed by New York services months later. The ultra-long-haul flights of more than 20 hours will be priced similarly to existing Perth-London services, with tickets going on sale in February next year. Qantas Chief Executive Vanessa Hudson says Melbourne routes may follow if there is strong demand, building on the success of existing ultra-long-haul services like Perth-London and Auckland-JFK.
