Two young children, aged one and five years old, were fatally struck by a car while sitting in a pram at the corner of Joseph and Gilbert Street in Cabramatta. The incident occurred just after 3pm, with bystanders tipping the vehicle on its side to free one child trapped underneath and performing CPR before paramedics arrived. The 56-year-old driver was arrested at the scene and taken for mandatory blood and alcohol testing, while the children's 33-year-old mother sustained minor injuries.
