This week’s podcast features Sue Redfern, the first female to play and officiate in a Woman’s World Cup. Sue’s international cricket career began when she made her England debut as a 17 year old in July 1995 before she represented her country at the 1997 World Cup. After retiring from playing Sue took up umpiring and has umpired at the 2017 World Cup in England and two T20 World Cup events. Sue talks about her inspiring cricketing story which has taken her all around the world both on and off the field. Sue also reflects on the success of this year’s Hundred. Competition where she umpired the final at Lord's. As one of the leading umpires in world cricket Sue gives her opinion on the qualities required to be a successful umpire.
