Dustin May completely dominated San Diego, carrying a no-hitter into the seventh inning and finishing with a complete-game one-hit shutout, striking out nine.

Lucas Giolito battled but allowed three runs over five innings, with Jimmy Crooks delivering the big blow with a two-run double in the fourth and Alec Burleson adding an RBI double in the fifth.

Kyle Hart was outstanding out of the bullpen with two scoreless innings, but the Padres offense never mounted a serious threat.
