Dr. Ben Carson spent nearly 30 years as the director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, and pioneered surgeries never been done before, including performing the first separation of twins conjoined at the back of the skull. He has served as the 17th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and is being awarded his second Presidential Medal of Freedom, which is the nation’s highest civilian honor. Dr. Carson has also been appointed to serve as Vice Chair on President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission, an important commission Dr. Phil also has been appointed to serve on, alongside Dr. Carson, and the other distinguished members.
